Visiting the state of Indiana in the summer of 2010, I was interested in the ways Amish communities have to blend in with ‘regular’ American society. Their conviction to use simple tools (to keep closer to God) contrasts with the world around them. But even without completely understanding each other, one can feel a shared sense of respect between the two communities,  while using the same roads and markets to stay alive.
